Spring flowers 🌸

Big white petals fall

beautiful against that clear

blue sky filled with sunshine.

The muddy path ahead

baking dry under our feet.

In the warm sunlight

Spring spills out in bird song

as green buds erupt from bare branches.

Light lingers longer now.

As you shorten your stride to match mine

I ask if this turning season means anything to you.

Yes, you say.

It means it’ll be summer soon.
