Some of the graves were very grand. Others quite simple.
I found the carved monuments quite beautiful.
My husband looked at me and said:

I love visiting graveyards. There is history in the old grave markers, as they used to mention cause of death. You can see the history of an area during that time period. There are tributes to those who had a great influence in the area. Yes, there is a definite difference in grave markers according to social economic status of the deceased. Still, some of the markers are works of art.
