Goodness.
Big hearted, pure, keep you warm in your belly, goodness.
Being near it. Seeing it. Experiencing it. Reciprocating it.
That’s what brings me joy.
It’s love. It’s kindness. It’s standing by another as life hurls rocks at them.
Goodness is a perfect summer day with an open road before you and adventures waiting to be had.
It’s a big hearted belly laugh with friends where I’m lifted from my misery for a moment.
It’s seeing small quiet acts of faithfulness. A lost wallet returned. A thoughtful drink offered after a long walk. Care extended and returned.
That spectacular autumn sunset that soaks the world orange and purple.
That moment your child trustingly takes your hand because you are their whole world.
And there’s more. So much more.
There are nuggets of goodness all around us.
And when we’re drenched in the grief of this broken and fallen world, those rare glimpses of goodness are cause for rejoicing.

Very well said, and the photo is a perfect illustration. A lot of truth, in few words. Thank you for sharing.
