We spent a lovely few hours with friends today.
We ate ourselves silly. Laughed and shared time together.
It was better than the pub meal we were thinking of having by ourselves for Christmas.
The pavlova, unfortunately, came out flat, brown, and cracked from our oven last night.
“A flat pav! And it’s all the rage,” encouraged my father in law this morning as we chatted to him on the video call.
“A pizza Pav!” I countered 😁
I dressed it with cream and berries anyway and served it to our guests.
I’m so glad I did, because it went down a treat!
