I found this billboard on our walk around our neighbourhood today.
What is community if not a larger team? One that includes all who inhabit that group and hopefully lets them participate and contribute to its functioning.

Love the Helen Keller quote. Really poignant in this crazy season when it seems like we are all called to huddle in our own homes …. it is even tough to greet people when I chance upon them now as social distancing does not encourage this sort of behaviour.
Yet, it is so important to remember that we can choose to be kind in other ways …. this is the thought I will take with me today. Thank you.

It is a strange and difficult time. I am looking forward to moving about more freely. It’s been difficult to deliberately avoid people. But in one way, that’s how we care for others. Thank you for your comment. It made me think too!

Was just speaking to my London aunt – she is wondering if they might extend this shutdown period (we had ours extended in Singapore for another month). They are comfortable in their homes and have their groceries delivered, but I think anxiety is still rollercoaster-esque.

It is unsettling. It’s just so difficult sometimes to be patient inside when all you want to do is get out there and explore. I’m glad to hear your aunt is coping well!

And I am usually such a homebody. But the thought of restrictions just incites the desire to do things I normally wouldn’t be hankering to do!
