Wow, beautiful! I associate flowers (a particular type of rose with a very heavy, heady scent) with my mother. 🙂 What is this flower in your photo?

I think it was a peony? Mum says she spotted it on her travels and thought it would be perfect for us. She didn’t tell me what kind of flower it was.

My Mum always has flowers in her house from the garden, and this time of year it will be a display of camellias which were also a great favourite of my Nan’s. Flowers brighten our lives in so many ways and colour our memories 🌸

Sounds wonderful! I come from a family of black thumbs, but mum loves going to the market to buy flowers for special occasions.
